Ableton LiveThis is the next installment of a short series of tutorials that I have produced exclusively for the Time+Space blog which look at mixing loops from sample libraries using the Ableton Live software application.

In this video I mix samples from different commercial libraries from developers like Philtre Labs, Zero-G, Sample Magic and Digital Redux.

Sample Magic release DemoGod – The A&R Database App

UK dance sample producers Sample Magic have just released the DemoGod App, which gives you contact details for a large collection of dance music A&R contacts via your iPhone and/or iPad.

DemoGod contains over 700 labels who are actively seeking new artists, this includes some of the biggest labels in House, Techno, Dubstep, Trance, Chillout and Drum & Bass. This App will give you details of how to submit your demos via SoundCloud, email and by post, just in case you fancy doing things the old fashioned way and sending a tape in a jiffy bag.
