Music Production Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals – what’s in store?

It’s almost that time of year again, where deals and offers on music software, sample packs, software instruments, and hardware are aplenty. That’s right; we’re talking about Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Every year there’s always a wide range of deals and cheap virtual instruments available from some of our most popular brands. So, we thought we’d take a look at last year’s deals, and try and predict some of the offers that could be available to music producers this year!

We’ll be adding deals to our website throughout the month – for the latest offers, head over to our list of 2019 Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals.

Black Friday

Spectrasonics Omnisphere 2.5There’s no doubt that a Spectrasonics Black Friday sale would be the best case scenario for many producers. Although we’re still yet to see a Spectrasonics Black Friday sale, stranger things have happened! Spectrasonics recently announced the version 2.5 update for Omnisphere which added in a whole host of features including hardware synth integration. Maybe Spectrasonics will celebrate this new update with a special Spectrasonics Black Friday sale? Plus it doesn’t hurt to dream of big discounts on products such as Omnisphere 2.5, Keyscape, and Trilian.

Last year, iZotope blessed us with a plethora of substantial Black Friday deals. This included savings of up to 78% on their award-winning Ozone, Neutron, and RX lines of software. Many of you I’m sure will have your fingers crossed for big deals on their RX7 range of plugins so you can get your audio sounding immaculate for the new year. iZotope have already announced some of the deals you can take advantage of this year, including up to 50% off their updated Music Production Suite 2, and up to 40% off brand new Nectar 3 which includes Celemony Melodyne Elements.

Toontrack EZdrummer 2Last year no line of Toontrack products were safe from a Black Friday price slash. We saw discounts on their EZdrummer, EZkeys, EZmix, and Superior Drummer ranges, and they seem to be following up on that trend this year. We already have offers on EZdrummer2 and EZkeys Essential Pianos, not to mention the special offers on all EZX and SDX drum expansions! Therefore if you’re an existing EZdrummer or Superior Drummer user, you don’t have to worry about waiting before expanding your arsenal of top-notch drum kits. Last year’s Toontrack deals included some crazy one-day offers as well, will those make a return for 2018?

Native Instruments

2018 was undoubtedly Native Instruments‘ year. We saw the release of several new pieces of hardware and software which continue to fly off our shelves months after they were first released. And it doesn’t take much imagination to figure out why. Native Instruments‘ Komplete Kontrol line of MIDI keyboards and their Komplete 12 software suite is a match made in heaven, and many producers across the world were smart enough to make sure they didn’t pass on the opportunity to drastically speed up their workflow and increase their productivity. Due to how new these titles are we’re hesitant to believe that Native Instruments will be offering any ground-breaking deals, although we wouldn’t be surprised to see special offers on older pieces of hardware like their Komplete Audio 6 audio interface and MASCHINE Jam controller.

Output Exhale

Output is a brand renowned for their lack of special offers, and in fact, many people wouldn’t blame you for thinking you’d have a better chance at spotting Big Foot! Although Output have certainly dropped the frugal facade this year and have shown their generosity by offering 25% off all Output titles! This includes their latest title Analog Brass & Winds and fan favourites such as Exhale and REV. This is one Black Friday deal that you certainly won’t want to pass on.

Swedish supremos Softube have joined the likes of iZotope and Toontrack by announcing many of their Black Friday deals weeks before the big event has even started. And to be honest, having seen how big the special offers are, we can’t blame them for not being able to hold in their excitement for any longer! Right now you can save 60% on their Spring Reverb plugin, 33% on their brand new Harmonics effects plugin, and 20% off their award-winning Console 1 MkII Hardware Controller!

Gothic Instruments

Gothic Instruments DRONAR Master Edition

2018 has undoubtedly been an exciting year for Gothic Instruments as they announced several new titles and most importantly their huge DRONAR Master Edition which was 3 years in the making! It has proved to be incredibly popular with our composer and producer friends, and we’re sure if you haven’t’ already picked up at least 1 DRONAR module you’ll want to as soon as you’ve heard them in action! Could they celebrate another fantastic year with a generous sale? They certainly did last year with savings as high as 60%, and many of you I’m sure will have your fingers crossed for another batch of generous special offers this year.

FabFilter Pro-RWith many of the most powerful plugins on the market today, there is a trend to put a thousand controls on the GUI. FabFilter buck this with easily accessible interfaces and serious oomph behind the scenes. We’re yet to feel out of our depth when tuning one from scratch, although the presets are some of the best designed and instantly usable that we’ve ever come across – they’ve got one for every eventuality, including a generous wealth of mastering options. With a lack of any major new releases FabFilter could be inclined to treat fans to a discount on some of their best-selling titles. Possible options could be their ‘pro’ series of plugins, or maybe even a general discount off all FabFilter plugins? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see…

Since getting my first guitar at age 7 I’ve been obsessed with music. Although I grew up on a diet of ACDC, The Rolling Stones, and Status Quo (courtesy of my Dad) my music taste has grown massively since then. I’m currently working on my first album which I’m hoping to release sometime in 2018.
