At this year’s Musikmesse show we met up with the guys from iZotope and headed over to the annual M.I.P.A. event where the Boston-based company’s Ozone 5 Advanced mastering software was up for an award.
M.I.P.A stands for Musikmesse International Press Award and, each year, pro-audio magazines from around the world submit their votes for the best musical instruments and audio equipment across more than forty categories ranging from Bass Amps, Electronic Drums and Pickups to Synthesizer Hardware, Controller Keyboards and Software Instruments.
We were proud to hear Ozone 5 Advanced announced as the Best Audio Processing Software and iZotope’s Senior Product Manager Nick Dika had the honour of collecting the award on stage (see photo below).
This was iZotope’s second M.I.P.A. award as iZotope’s Marketing Manager, Melissa Misicka explains…
“iZotope is honored to receive the 2013 m.i.p.a. award for Ozone 5 Advanced, our complete mastering system. It’s our second time winning a M.I.P.A. for best Software Audio Processor (Nectar won in 2011), and it’s certainly no less exciting! We greatly appreciate the support of the 100+ magazines that make up the International Press voting community, and we offer a sincere thank you to everyone involved for this special recognition.”
