In July, renowned orchestral software developer Garritan released Classic Pipe Organ Collection – a virtual instrument powered by the ARIA engine that offers six different historic pipe organs and 75 different stops.
It is the first collection of its kind to offer a variety of different pipe organs, each unique and representative of a specific school of organ building – from early Baroque to Classical, Renaissance, Romantic, and the Modern eras.
A month on from its release, we asked our customers what they thought of the collection and we’ve had some great feedback with five star reviews all round. Here’s a few quotes from their comments…
“Garritan Classic Pipe Organs is an amazing piece of software. […] It has encouraged me to start learning classical organ pieces instead of just playing rock/pop organ. I cannot recommend this software too highly.” – Huw Thomas
“Garritan have done a superlative job of sampling great organs and then allowing the player to articulate these beasts as if one was actually there. I love the fact that I can stir the soul from the comfort and anonymity of my kitchen table.” – Lexi McKee
“I play mainly classical piano, but wanted to branch out into some Organ pieces, and the free Pipe Organ that came with my DAW was a disappointment. It had to sound totally realistic, be cheap-ish, no dongle required, and it had to sound as if the big bass notes would rattle the windows. Garritan Classic Pipe Organs delivers on all counts! It has a wonderful sound, and always makes me smile when I play it.” – RacyKiwi
